Meditation is an oil of linen painting I created from a plein sketchbook painting I did mid summer. I love painting ocean scenes and there is nothing better than getting out to paint every chance I get. This is a seascape that would enhance any cottage by the sea or any room for people who love the sea. Meditation was a place I could sit and meditate on the beauty this earth has to give us. This painting is exactly that place.

“Joy” is a 10×20 pastel painting. Joy is my mantra for 2024 and nothing brings me more joy than the ocean. I intend to share joy, receive joy, be joy and enjoy and this painting sums that up.
Winter Marsh is an 8×10 painting I did after many trips to the coast at sunset. This was a beautiful night and I wandered around the marshes for hours waiting for the colors of the ice to reflect the sun. the waiting paid off I think. This original painting comes framed.
11×14 Pastel — I loved going to Monhegan to paint. This is a painting I did of Jamie Wyeth’s house, adding in the colorful details as Jamie’s work is so colorful and beautiful.

The inspiration for this painting is the New England Seashore which I visit very often. I walk along the beach and feel God’s breathing as the waves ebb and flow. I love the synergy and energy of the ocean.
I got to sit on a bench on Marginal Way and paint this scene one sunny afternoon. I love how the waves were crashing and the beach roses were growing between the cracks of the rocks. 8×10 Oil
