I have painted this farm many times and in many seasons—it is one of those special places on earth and I love painting it. One day, as I came around the corner, I was delighted to discover sheep grazing in the field. I had never seen animals there before, and the scene was so peaceful and unexpected that I knew I had to paint it. The Great New England Working Farm. Framed.

This painting shows the history of Newburyport. I painted this mostly plein air and finished it in my studio. This is a happy spot that walkers and runners made into a trail and has many happy memories. You will reminisce about walking there every time you see this painting.
Sometimes when the ocean is emerald green, it brings all nature and you into harmony, I used the colors in the ocean and sky in the surf, and the color of the sand in the sky and clouds.
I got to sit on a bench and paint this scene one sunny afternoon. I love how the waves were crashing and the beach roses were growing between the cracks of the rocks. They are true survivors! 8×10 Oil
